Inter Province Competition Draw 2022 – 2023


Junior, must be a minimum of 1 per team & a maximum of 2 per team
Senior, must be a minimum of 1 per team
Adult Woman, must be a minimum of 1 per team
Adult Man, must be a minimum of 1 per team

Definitions

Junior, age 21 or under as at 30th June 2022
Senior, age 50 or over as at 30th June 2022
Adult, age 22 or over as at 30th June 2022

Team option 1

One Junior, (gender not applied)
One Senior, man or woman
Two Adults, man or woman
Adults/Senior cannot all be the same gender.

Team option 2

Two Juniors, (gender not applied)
One Senior, man or woman
One Adult, man or woman
Adult/Senior cannot both be the same gender.


Competition rules
  • All players must be RCCC registered by their local Province club. The RCCC database will be checked as soon as possible.
  • An unregistered player causes the team to be disqualified. The game will be played and started on time. The defaulting rink’s opposition will be given 6 penalty shots & 5 ends, a score of 6-0 or the actual game score whichever is the greater.
  • All games will be 8 ends or the bell.
  • The 5 stone Free Guard Zone rule will be played.
  • The winning Province is the highest up shots total of the three teams from that Province. Ties to be decided by total shots, then ends won.
  • Team is not of correct composition. The offending team will be disqualified. The game will be played and started on time. The defaulting rink’s opposition will be given 6 penalty shots & 5 ends, a score of 6-0 or the actual game score whichever is the greater.
  • Late arrival will be penalised 1 shot for each 5 minutes up to a maximum of 6 shots. The game is to be started on time. After 30 minutes the three handed rule applies.
  • Three handed teams: – The game is to be played and started on time. The defaulting team’s opposition will be given 6 penalty shots.
  • Teams withdrawing for any reason after the draw has been circulated must inform the Area Secretary, Opposition, and Ice Rink concerned. The defaulting team may also be responsible for ice fees.
  • In the case of emergency, (illness, weather etc.), the team must contact without delay the Area Secretary, the Opposition, and the Ice Rink concerned.
  • Non-appearance of team or teams: – The Province of the defaulting team or teams will be liable for the full cost of the ice.
  • All teams must complete the score cards in full including names & skips’ signatures.
  • Score cards will be collected by the Area representative after the game.
